Hummus
Hummus is a staple dip in our household and I suspect it is in most homes. However, most people I know buy it from the supermarket and I've been on a slight mission to persuade everyone to make their known, it is so EASY
Serves 4
Ingredients
- One tin of organic chickpeas (drained)
- 1 Clove of garlic (if it is a large clove, just cut in half)
- 1 Lemon
- 1 tbsp Tahini
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
1. In a food processor place the drained chickpeas, garlic, tahini, olive oil, the juice of one lemon and seasoning. Mix until the mixture is smooth, taste a small amount and adjust the seasoning if needed. The hummus is ready!
As, I said it is really simple to make and have in the fridge as a snack or part of a meal. It is super healthy and you can add more ingredients to it too, I sometimes quite like my hummus a little bit more lemony so I add a bit more. But I've also experimented with beetroot, coriander and other herbs and it just makes a delicious dip.
